I think we all can agree here...

Got this in an email forward from a friend. Too spot-on not to share! :)

1. I think part of a best friend's job should be to immediately clear your computer history if you die.

2. Nothing sucks more than that moment during an argument when you realize you're wrong.

3. I totally take back all those times I didn't want to nap when I was younger.

4. There is great need for a sarcasm font.

5. How the hell are you supposed to fold a fitted sheet?

6. Was learning cursive really necessary?

7. Map Quest really needs to start their directions on #5. I'm pretty sure I know how to get out of my neighborhood.

8. Obituaries would be a lot more interesting if they told you how the person died.

9. I can't remember the last time I wasn't at least kind of tired.

10. Bad decisions make good stories.

11. You never know when it will strike, but there comes a moment at work when you know that you just aren't going to do anything productive for the rest of the day.

12. Can we all just agree to ignore whatever comes after Blue Ray? I don't want to have to restart my collection...again.

13. I'm always slightly terrified when I exit out of Word and it asks me if I want to save any changes to my ten-page research paper that I swear I did not make any changes too.

14. "Do not machine wash or tumble dry" means I will never wash this -ever.

15. I hate when I just miss a call by the last ring (Hello? Hello? Darn it!); but when I immediately call back, it rings nine times and goes to voicemail. What did you do after I didn't answer? Drop the phone and run
away?

16. I hate leaving my house confident and looking good and then not seeing anyone of importance the entire day. What a waste.

17. I keep some people's phone numbers in my phone just so I know not to answer when they call.

18. I think the freezer deserves a light as well.

21. Sometimes I'll watch a movie that I watched when I was younger and suddenly realize I had no idea what the heck was going on when I first saw it.

22. I would rather try to carry 10 plastic grocery bags in each hand than take 2 trips to bring my groceries in.

23. The only time I look forward to a red light is when I'm trying to finish a text.

24. I have a hard time deciphering the fine line between boredom and hunger.

25. How many times is it appropriate to say "What?" before you just nod and smile because you still didn't hear or understand a word they said?

26. I love the sense of camaraderie when an entire line of cars teams up to prevent a jerk from cutting in at the front. Stay strong, brothers and sisters!

27. Shirts get dirty. Underwear gets dirty. Pants? Pants never get dirty, and you can wear them forever.

28. Is it just me or do high school kids get dumber & dumber every year?

29. There's no worse feeling than that millisecond you're sure you are going to die after leaning your chair back a little too far.

30. Sometimes I'll look down at my watch 3 consecutive times and still not know what time it is.

Just wanted to share...

Can't remember where I found this picture, but I find it to be a nice reminder...

Monday Night Football!

In honor of the rivalry of Monday Night Football's game this evening, a joke:

(Photo found on www.greenbaybacknation.com)

There is this Vikings fan who is married to a Packer fan.

He loves her very much but still cant get past the fact that she is a Packer fan. He thinks long and hard and finally comes to a decision. As much as he loves the Vikings...he loves her more. He decides to become a Packer fan (smart man).

After weeks of trying unsuccessfully to root for the Packers, he decides to get some help from a doctor. "Doctor, I'm trying to become a Packer fan, is there any way to help me?" the man asks.

"Well, yes, it is quite simple. I just have to remove 1/3 of your brain, but it is a very dangerous procedure."

"Are you sure you want to do this?" asks the doctor.

"I have no other choice." the man says.

The man wants to have this surgery right away. The doctor begins the procedure. During the surgery the doctors hand slips and he removes too much of the poor Viking fan's brain.

While the Vikings fan is recuperating the doctor is pacing around his bedside. The man begins to stir.

The doctor rushes over and says "Sir, I am so sorry, during the surgery I mistakenly removed 2/3 of your brain instead of 1/3.

The man looks up from his bed with a huge smile on his face and says "GO BEARS !!"

Click here to hear how I really feel.

heh.

May the best team win!

From smokey eyes, to whiter teeth to curling your hair with a flat iron, she's addicting! Below is one of my favs on how to get the perfect nude lip for fall. Enjoy!

Healing

What a rollercoaster of emotions I've been lately. It amazes me how easy it is to put on a happy face and tell others how "great" everything is when it really isn't. This happens so often that you almost begin to believe it. Then, after sweeping these thoughts/emotions/issues under the rug for so long, you get so overwhelmed that you have no choice but to face them head on, ready or not.

I'm the queen of the "tough guy" face. Trying to convince myself how strong I am, lately I've been a ball of emotions and on the verge of tears pretty much all the time. Through situations I won't get in to, the past couple years have been plagued with betrayal and sadness just to name a few. I'm not usually one to get deep for anyone to read, but I've come to a place where I have to get it out or I won't make it. Don't get me wrong, there's been joy sprinkled in there as well, but how easy it is to let the negative in our life consume us.

My mother is a breast cancer survivor. I thank God for healing her and sparing her for my family's sake. However, that year of her sickness, mixed in with some other personal issues, was the worst year of my life. I was going through an old journal today and found a page where I had documented all the emotions I felt throughout the year. I wrote them down as I experienced them. I want to share them with you. For all I know, this may be an encouragement that you can/will overcome whatever it is you may be struggling with.

Here they are, in order:
1. Disbelief
2. Sadness
3. Anger
4. Peace
5. Guilt
6. Anticipation
7. Hope
8. Relief
9. Thankfulness
10. Joy

In this time I've been taking to be silent and hear from God, I've realized that in dealing with my feelings about my mom being sick, I ignored some other negative situations in my life that now need to be dealt with to be healthy in other areas of my life. Betrayal is probably one of the most hurtful things we can experience. How encouraging is it to know that our Heavenly Father sent his son, Jesus, down to this earth to experience this very thing, betrayal, by those that were closest to him?? It's comforting to know that when I pray for healing in my heart, He knows exactly what I am feeling...

And finally, here is a song I found today that says it all...at least for this topic. :)

Hot Quarterback Highlight - 2010 Edition

In honor of the first NFL game of the season on tv tonight, I thought it was the perfect opportunity to debut my pick of this year's hottest quarterbacks.

You're welcome ladies.

If you missed the 2009 Hot Quarterback Highlight, check it out here.

Ready? Me too!

Number Five:

Aaron Rodgers, #12
Green Bay Packers
Height: 6'2
Meg B's comments: He may not be the "hottest" in the league, but there's no way I could leave off my own team's QB!

Number Four:

Matt Cassel, #7
Kansas City Chiefs
Height: 6'4
Meg B's comments: Not because he's the qb of my bff and my bf's favorite team, Cassel made this list all by his hot self!

Number Three:

THE Brett Favre, #4
Minnesota Vikings
Height: 6'2
(Brett came in at #1 on the list last year. However, as he is now a grandpa, a little bit of hotness was lost. Is though, and will forever be, my one true love).

Number Two:

Trent Edwards
, #5
Buffalo Bills
Height: 6'4
Meg B's comments: There are no words. This is one hunk of man. *sigh*

Number One:

Matt Leinart, #9
Houston Texans
Height: 6'5
Meg B's comments: "Oh baby. Oh baby. Enough said."

So many pics to choose from, I just couldn't leave you with only one of this fine speciman. How did I not know about him sooner? Oh yea, Brett Favre wasn't a grandpaw last year.

Your opinion? Vote on the right hand side under my profile picture!

Don't be scurrrred.

Why do we worry so much? God clearly speaks against it in His word and yet, I find myself day after day being controlled by fear. Result of fear? Worry. Result of worry? Unhappiness. Unhappiness? Not this girl's style!

Here are some scriptures that I've been reading to help me deal with this area of my life...

I sought the Lord and HE heard me and delivered me from all of my fears -Psalms 34:4

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding - Proverbs 3:5

For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind - 2 Timothy 1:7
(Purple fear. LOL)

"Loving can cost a lot, but not loving always costs more. And those who fear to love often find that want of love is an emptiness that robs the joy from life." - Merle Shain

What are some more quotes/scriptures? Help a sista out...

I survived the purple.

I'd like to think I had a little bit to do with their season opening victory over UCLA. You're welcome K-State fans.

A spin on Beyonce's Single Ladies

La la LOVE this!

Have a great weekend!

The Besties!!!

As we get older, friends move away and relationships aren't the same as they used to be. So what do you do? Make something happen! As of a couple minutes ago, I have two trips set in stone to see 3 of my bestest friends in the whole wide world. Two of them next weekend in Kansas City and one next month in Newport, RI. I cannot WAIT. It's stinkin' gorgeous out there.

A Post About Nothing Important...

Purple. I don't like it. Probably my least favorite color. In fact, you won't find any purple in my apartment and very rarely in my wardrobe. However, small problem. It happens to be one of my boyfriend's favorite colors.
How cute is he!!???

He is a die-hard Kansas State fan and with their first football game of the season approaching this weekend, naturally my next move was to search for "likeable" purple things. LOL- I warned you this was about nothing important.
Here we go!
1. The first obvious choice is Welch's Grape Juice. Delicious. Enough said.
2. A noble honor- The Purple Heart.

3. Purple Rain by Prince. You're welcome.

4. Grimmace from McDonald's. He was the tall one. How could I not like him?

5. The Color Purple. Good enough for Oprah? Good enough for this tall girl.

6. Sports teams I must cheer for due to my friends coaching sports there. Because after all, I'm a GREAT friend.

OK- that's about all the purple I can take for one day. What are some other things that should make me like the color?

Pffft.
